Ortiz hits into a huge DP, hitting one right at Peralta, who was playing up the middle. But I'm not done complaining about the Youkilis hit, one second.

9:16 So on the Youkilis play, Pedroia was going on a ground ball hit in front of him. This is not what you are supposed to do. In fact, it is the exact opposite.

Because the ball hit the lip, he ended up being safe at third. McCarver praised Pedroia for his "excellent" baserunning. I just don't understand.

Hafner has struck out in 7 of 9 ABs, and one of the other two was that DP with runners on first and third in the first inning of G5.

That was a good pitch to hit, but he fouls it off.
