Razzie Awards Odds

This really has nothing to do with anything, but I don't care. BetUS has posted odds for the "Razzie Awards". For those not familiar with these, I'll allow Wikipedia to explain:
"The Golden Raspberry Awards or Razzies, first awarded in 1981, were created by John Wilson in 1980, intended to counterpoint the Academy Awards by dishonoring the worst acting, screenwriting, songwriting, directing, and films that the film industry had to offer."
Sounds like my kind of thing. On to the odds:

Worst Actor of the Year

Nicolas Cage (Ghost Rider & National Treasure II), +110
Eddie Murphy (Norbit), +135
Adam Sandler (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry), +275
Cuba Gooding Jr. (Daddy Day Camp), +550
Jim Carrey (The Number 23), +750

Worst Actress of the Year

Lindsay Lohan (I Know Who Killed Me), -650
Jessica Alba (Awake, Fantastic Four), +500
All 4 chicks from the Bratz movie, +750
Elisha Cuthbert (Captivity), +1500
Diane Keaton (Because I Said So), +2000

Worst Picture of the Year

I Know Who Killed Me, -300
Norbit, +400
Bratz, +750
I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, +900
Daddy Day Camp, +1000

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing any of these movies, but a few thoughts:
  • It is hilarious how huge of a favorite Lohan is.
  • Seems like Cage and Alba should get some kind of special award for being nominated for multiple films. It's only fair.
  • The third nominee for Worst Actress is not a joke- that's exactly how it is listed. Brilliant. Is that even possible? I'm can't say I'm too familiar with the ins and outs of the Razzies.
  • I actually had to look up if "Because I Said So" was a real movie, or if someone at BetUS was trying to be funny. It's real.

There's a good reason Lohan is a heavy favorite. She is actually nominated twice for Worst Actress (she played two roles in one film) which is not apparent from this list.

"The third nominee for Worst Actress is not a joke..."

Well, in a sense the Razzies are all about jokes because the Academy takes themselves entirely too seriously. Have you read the nominees for Worst Screen Couple?
