Perfect Bracket, Regional Odds Updates

I don't think anyone went 32/32 over the last couple days. The odds of those 32 teams winning were 1 in about 4.1 million; the 1 in 270 odds for the Tampa games alone didn't help matters. There were around 3.1 million brackets in the ESPN Tournament Challenge; nobody got more than 30. Same goes for Yahoo! and Facebook.

BetUS has posted updated odds for each remaining team to win their region. As usual, most are terrible, but I think one is pretty solid.

Texas A&M, 25:1 to win the West
I liked them at 60:1 before the tournament, and now that they've won a game that was almost a pick'em, I think 25:1 is solid. They have to beat UCLA today, which is unlikely. But if they pull that off, they'll be favored in their next game against Western Kentucky or San Diego. If they win that one, they could even be slight favorites in the Elite 8. Sure, they'll probably lose to the Bruins, but if they win, they've got about a 38% chance of reaching San Antonio, and your 25:1 odds will be looking pretty good at that point.

  1. I wonder what the odds were that the Stanford coach was going to get tossed? I was on the road back from DC and missed that sequence. (I know I know, we should have stayed to see the end of the 2nd game, but the group I went with was dog tired)
