This is progress, I think. Doesn't it seem like three years ago Webb might have won, and it would have at least been very close?
Although it's pretty clear that Wins are still the primary metric for at least four NL voters, as there's really no other way you could put Webb first. On the other hand, at least eight guys (and almost certainly more) had Santana ahead of Webb, despite his six fewer wins.
There seems to be a much bigger disconnect between the BBRAA and "statheads" on the MVP than the Cy Young, since the whole "valuable" thing obviously causes some issues.
Next up: Cliff Lee wins the AL Cy on Thursday.

But someone left Lincecum totally off their ballot. Insane.
Maybe a playoffs only vote of Sabathia, Lidge, Dempster
Good call. That was one of the first things I noticed but I forgot to mention it.
It's also entirely possible that the person that left Lincecum off entirely had Webb first.
if it was a playoffs only vote wouldnt sabathia get left off entirely for hamels?
Webb trails Lincecum by only two tenths in tRA and has a six tenth lead in tRA*. Arizona's park really hurts pitchers and Webb is a K/GB machine. Johan is considerably behind both guys in both metrics.
